Welcome back everyone !!
I'm quite nervous as well as excited to present the duet version of 'Midnight Metro' as honestly the name itself is pretty intimidating to me .
This is the first duet version of the 'Midnight Metro' that I have composed .
Let's goo
Midnight Metro (Duet 1)
All aboard?
MIDNIGHT METRO ( DUET 1)
*Title:* Midnight Metro
*Genre:* Pop duet, slow-burn tension
*[Verse 1 - Him]*
12:43, empty train car
Tie still tight from the seminar
City lights blur, I don’t look up
I don’t do talk, I don’t do luck
*[Verse 1 - Her]*
Heels in hand, mascara run
Running from a day I haven’t won
Last train home, I take the seat
Far from you, but feel the heat
*[Pre-Chorus - Both]*
Doors slide shut, no one’s around
Your reflection’s the only sound
And I swear you’re thinking too
‘Cause I’m thinking ‘bout you
*[Chorus - Duet]*
On the midnight metro, running from the day
Two strangers lying, saying we’re okay
If I say “don’t go,” would you call my bluff?
On the midnight metro, one glance was enough
So we ride through stations, too stubborn to say we’ve had enough
*[Verse 2 - Him]*
You roll your eyes, unimpressed
First one who failed my little test
You hum off-key to the train track beat
And I hate the way my pulse skips
*[Verse 2 - Her]*
Mr. CEO with the iron wall
Bet you’ve never had a late night fall
But your hands tight on that briefcase
Tell me you’re not fine in this place
*[Bridge - Him]*
I don’t stop for anyone
***_
I don’t need a hero
_**_
But the sign says “your stop” in neon
And we’re still here like fools[Her][Both]
*[Final Chorus - Duet]*
On the midnight metro, running from the day
Two strangers staying, choosing not to stray
So I’ll say “stay on,” yeah, I’m calling your bluff
On the midnight metro, one stop wasn’t enough
So we ride till sunrise, done pretending we’re both too tough
*[Outro - Her]*
Next stop…
_**_
Doesn’t matter.
_***
As long as you don’t get off[Him][Both]
Did you feel it ?
Is it better than the original Midnight metro ?
