I'm Mira Singh, 18 years old amd a fresher to a college of Chemical Engineering, IIT Bombay.

1. ME - Mira Singh

JEE Advanced qualifier. Pursuing Chemical Engineering. Like a nerd, but the kind who still panics before every exam.

My mom's favorite line growing up was, "Hume mat Sharmana ." [Don't embarrass us.] So I studied like my life depended on it.

Seriously I hope you guys can also understand the pressure(family pressure if you know what I'm talking about)

My hobbies: Singing when I think no one's listening, destroying people at badminton (still stuck at 5'1 somehow), and writing stories I'll probably never finish. I'm creative, anxious, and I eat instant noodles while overthinking.

My family:

• Mom: Meena Singh - English Professor at Delhi University. She'll correct your grammar mid-argument and still win the fight. She basically lives with her own personal Grammarly.

• Dad: Vikram Singh - Chairman of Apex Private Bank. He's the definition of "Paisa bolta hai." [Money talks.] Always busy, but never misses my birthday.

• Sister: Mahi, 11 - My personal chaos demon. Steals my hoodies, my charger, and my will to live. Seven years younger and already running the house.

[I'm elder to her , I get it but that doesn't give them the right to blame me or make me responsible for every little mistake of hers]

2. Amaira Tyagi - My BFF, 18, Fresher, Chemical Engineering, IIT-B. She's from U.P., but Delhi made her.

She's a topper too, but she's chill about it. Her actual plan? "Engineering kar loongi, par director banna hai." [I'll do engineering, but I want to become a director.]

I support my friend .

Family:

• Dad: Rohan Tyagi - Chemical Engineer. He wanted Amaira to follow in his footsteps. She took the engineering part literally and left out the rest.

• Mom: Dr. Kavya Tyagi - MBBS. She saves lives at the hospital and threatens ours if we don't eat our vegetables.

She always threatens Amaira to eat green vegetables as she's too picky or else she might have anemia .

Amaira and I met at Delhi Public International Academy, Noida, in 9th grade. Survived board exams and bad canteen food together. Trauma-bonded for life.

Seriously humari friendship is like unbeatable.[We don't compete unfairly for anything unlike the friends in cocktail2]

3. Kushagra Sharma - Senior, 19 years old Chemical Engineering, 2nd Year. IIT Bombay's golden boy.

He's a topper - we all are - but he pretends he isn't. "Bhai maine toh kuch nahi padha" [Bro, I didn't study anything] is his catchphrase before every exam. Then he tops it. We all hate him for it.

He's also one of the two most popular guys on campus. Every girl knows his name. Half of them have a crush on him. He flirts back, smiles, and leaves. Player without the title.

Family:

• Dad: Anirudh Sharma - Business Analyst. If his laptop had feelings, it would file for divorce.

• Mom: Nandini Sharma - Financial Manager. She runs their house like a corporation. Kushagra got his money-mind from her.

He's doing engineering without any real passion. Just coasting, figuring it out. Hot, smart, and confused - dangerous combo.

Important: He's been best friends with Aryan since high school. They're bhai-bhai close.[ They're close like brothers]

4. Aryan Lhouvum - Senior, 19, Chemical Engineering, 2nd Year. The quietest, hottest guy at IIT-B.

Also a topper. Batch Rank 1, actually. He makes perfect notes and just slides them across the table without a word. Just: "Le." [Take.] That's Aryan.

He's the other most popular guy on campus. It's always Kushagra vs Aryan in the "campus crush" debates. Girls legit fight over them. I've seen it.

He's from the Northeast - Lhouvum surname, probably Naga. He doesn't talk about home much. Or anything, really. Hoodie up, headphones in, always observing.

Family:

• Lives with both sets of grandparents in Delhi. Huge house, old money, and daily family drama. It's like living in a soap opera.

• Parents: "Business ke liye abroad." [Abroad for business.] What kind of business? No one knows. He never elaborates.

Kushagra says Aryan is the most "seedha" person he knows. I think he's the most mysterious.[naive]
